Stay

Like a piece of jewelry, each of our 23 freestanding Houses, Nests, and Tents is unique, handcrafted, and endowed with its own identity.

Yours might be located across a bamboo bridge, or on the far side of a rice paddy, or up in the branches of a tree. Some are wild creations we dreamt up out of bamboo, others are reclaimed teak houses we brought over from Java and restored and expanded. Some are nestled amid the foliage, others look out over the Sayan Ridge. We've considered and curated each house to make you feel cared for and replenished.

We want to bring you as close to the natural world as possible, so most of our accommodations have open-air bathrooms, and only a handful have walls. But they’re all equipped with creature comforts: French linens and Tibetan rugs, cotton waffle towels and robes, air-conditioned beds draped in mosquito netting, rain showers and Japanese toilets. We stock our minibars with complimentary local drinks and homemade treats. Some of the furnishings are incorporated from the finds we’ve collected over years of travel. Others, like the bespoke hand-hammered copper tubs and sinks, are produced by local artisans.

All of our room rates include a delicious full breakfast at Riverside Warung.

Note: Our accommodations are spread across the property, in one of two areas: the Village-side houses are at the top of the ridge, close to the entrance, while the Riverside houses expand down the ridge to the water, and may require steps, stairs, or rocky pathways to access.
