Entering through an antique carved wooden door, you’ll first encounter the private swimming pool and a plant-bedecked patio with breathtaking views of Bongkasa’s sweeping rice fields. A great sofa and small bar area are carved into the wall beneath the house, where you can enjoy the sounds of morning wildlife and the rushing Ayung River below.

Step up onto the spacious veranda of the teak house, whose main room showcases a large linen sofa, an exquisite coffee table crafted from Belgian bluestone, writing desk, ergonomic reading chair, and a king-size ironwood bed.

Artful lighting, unique carpets, and artifacts from Central Asia and Burma complete the elegantly evocative look. The spacious open-air bathroom features a grand copper bathtub, twin sinks, a mesmerizing rain shower, and a glass roof revealing the lush jungle canopy above.
