Nestled high up in the branches of two bunut trees overlooking the tropical valley, Treehouse is one of Bambu Indah’s signature accommodations designed by John and Cynthia Hardy’s daughter Chiara.
Built from bamboo, with a sensuously curved copper roof, the structure is shaped like an enormous basket, with the floors curling up to become low sloping walls that cradle the open-air interior, cooled by natural breezes and AC.
The two large living pods cocoon a decadent queen-size bed draped in mosquito nets, a magnificent dressing room, a cozy bar area, and a sleek bathroom with hanging bamboo trays, copper basins perched on an undulating bamboo countertop. A second queen bed is in a separate loft area, up a set of stairs.
Serenaded by the geckos’ calls and the rushing Ayung River far below, you’ll sleep soundly and awaken to panoramic views of Mount Batukaru surrounded by and far-off rice paddies glistening in the morning sun.
Note: The spiral staircase reaching the Tree House is narrow, so we ask guests to bring a second, smaller bag for use during their stay; we will store larger suitcases safely until your departure.
