Down a spiral staircase, the second bedroom has a queen-size bed, reclaimed ironwood floor, tribal art hung on the mud walls, and skylights to invite in the natural light. The dazzling bathroom offers an open-air rain shower, twin copper sinks, and a Javanese stone tub in a lush garden setting complete with fish pond.

The large veranda is just steps from the pebble-lined communal pool and terrace overlooking the rice fields.
