New Moon House
The extraordinary crescented New Moon House has made headlines around the world for its visionary design and architecture. Created by Ibuku, the brainchild of Elora, one of John’s daughters and now an internationally renowned designer, Moon House is impossibly romantic. Its huge bed draped in air-conditioned muslin netting dwarfs a semi-circular room hewn from the jungle, looking out a completely unobstructed view of the river and rice fields beyond.
A home without walls this extraordinary house will appeal to those who want to commune with nature without compromising on luxury. Guests can laze on netting suspended over the pools resting, reading or just watching a falling sun casting a honeyed glow over steep and ridiculously luxuriant valley slopes. Later they can moon-bathe in complete seclusion in an enchanting copper bathtub.
