Limasan House
Welcome to LIMASAN, the only house of its kind at Bambu Indah. A Limasan is a stunning traditional Indonesian teakwood house with a high ceiling and four majestic posts standing in support. Built in 1956, this 52 m² Javanese antique has been beautifully preserved and set amidst Bambu Indah’s lush food gardens and rice paddies.
Limasan is a single-storey house wrapped in vintage wood walls which have been preserved in resin, creating a dappled light effect throughout the room. Masterful carvings and vivid wood panels showcase traditional Javanese art, capturing the essence of historic and playful Indonesia both inside the house and along the spacious 20 m² outdoor deck.
A king-size four-poster bed provides sumptuous comfort and fine French linens. The room’s grandeur is highlighted by a unique copper chandelier, below which sits a cozy and colourful linen sofa, coffee table, and a writing desk overlooking the picturesque Bongkasa rice fields. Luxurious amenities and delicious natural snacks along with a refrigerator of healthy drinks cater to every need.
Floor to ceiling glass doors lead to a huge ensuite bathroom, complete with Bambu Indah’s signature outdoor copper rain shower positioned among local trees and a bamboo grove. A personal pond delivers a unique water feature and a bathing tub carved from a single piece of stone invites wonder and relaxation combined.
The house's northwest-facing porch, surrounded by plants and rice fields, is fitted with a small table and chairs, creating a private nook for enjoying the waking mornings and lazy afternoons.
Limasan sits just 12 meters away from the communal salt-chlorinated swimming pool and lounging terrace with endless views of nature, and is located near the Sunset Bar and Tembaga Restaurant.
