We believe true wonder is found in the raw beauty of our surroundings. At Bambu Indah, the ultimate guest experience is found in the nature around us, the food grown in our gardens, the energy received from the sun, and the cooling effect of river waters beneath bamboo bridges and stepping stones. This is our story, and we’re delighted to share it with you.

We are #4 on TIME MAGAZINE’s World’s Greatest Places 2024 list! What began as a humble ecological retreat has now truly become Bambu Indah - “beautiful bamboo.” Through years of mindful additions and a recent renovation, our 23-room jungle resort invites you to experience what living close to nature actually feels like. Whimsical structures like the magical Tree House on high, the snail shell-inspired New Moon House, the basket-shaped Copper House, and hobbit-like Guadua House, designed by Elora and built by Orin Hardy, embody our unique spirit.
It’s at the core of everything Carina & Tavish do together. They believe that love gives meaning to life, and sensuous jewelry is the expression of this fascination. They are meticulous with their attention to detail and committed to hand craftsmanship. Carina Hardy’s limited edition fine and demi-fine jewelry is created with recycled gold, silver, and precious stones - a love letter to the family ethos of sustainable beauty.
CARINA HARDY JEWELRYChiara finished at Yale in the spring, studying Anthropology and Fine arts, concentrating in sculpture. She is spending the year in New York finding the way.

From the very start, ChopValue saw the hidden potential in what others consider waste. Rather than ending up in landfills, chopsticks are collected, pressed, and reimagined into a high-performance substance. A signature material that goes on to becoming beautiful, eco-friendly products for homes and businesses. In just one year, Orin Hardy and his team have redefined sustainable design with truly innovative artistry. Come explore the ChopValue Nanofactory in Ubud, where you can discover a unique range of furniture, decor, wall panels, and accessories.
DISCOVER CHOP VALUE BALITembaga Restaurant, now a vibrant gem within the newly revamped Bambu Indah, offers more than just a meal—it’s a journey into the heart of wellness and food wisdom. The restaurant features a menu rich in innovative mushroom dishes and fire-based meals, drawing inspiration from Dr. Steven Gundry’s The Plant Paradox. A visit to Tembaga would be incomplete without exploring the megalith stone kitchen, subterranean wine cellar, petrified wood bar, and inventive path leading to the cavernous restrooms.
VISIT TEMBAGAWaterbom Bali is more than just a place to swim and slide; it’s where families come together to play, bond, and discover. Reflecting this philosophy, Elora and Orin Hardy have been working on a stunning open-air restaurant made from bamboo, designed by IBUKU and built by Bamboo Pure. With panoramic views of the exciting Waterbom park, seating for 120, and a range of food options, it’s the perfect pit stop to relax and enjoy a great meal. Opening September, 2024.
A comprehensive view of bamboo’s potential, this recently published book, Booming Bamboo captures the most exciting new projects, technologies, products, and advancements of this extraordinary material. Authored by Pablo van der Lugt, the expanded edition succeeds because, like bamboo, it is both beautiful and practical. We are so proud that Elora and IBUKU are featured both inside and out.

BAMBOOU20%OFFEarlier this year, Bamboo U and IBUKU challenged creative minds around the world to design a sustainable playground using bamboo. After reviewing over 100 entries, we’re thrilled to reveal that “DORIS The Nudibranch” by Ckori Pena from Studio CKP in Phuket, Thailand is the winning design. This unique concept will soon come to life at Kul Kul Farm in Bali, where it will merge beautifully with its surroundings and provide a fantastic space for kids to play and explore. A big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this inspiring project!
