A “Gladak” is a traditional Javanese house known for its distinctive architecture and high-pitched roof.
Upstairs, the numerous wood-framed windows invite the natural light into a room of two double beds with upscale mattresses and colourful linen sheets, an oversized reading chair, and fine traditional rugs and art.
The highlight of Jambu is a whimsical second-floor bamboo tunnel leading to a uniquely architectural bamboo bathroom with one of the world’s only hanging copper bathtubs and a delightful heart-shaped copper rain shower.
